Thanksgiving Day Picks
After a successfulish weekend picking against we’re back and better than ever ready for the Thanksgiving day games.
As I laid out last week, I’ve decided to start betting against myself for the balance of the season. I’ll be deciding on which team I prefer, laying out the my logic for preferring them (however fractured it may be) and going in the other direction.
Let’s get right to it.
As always, my pick will always be the first one listed. Home team in caps, “over” if I’m picking a home team and “at” if it’s a roader. All lines as of Thursday morning.
Titans (-10.5) at DETROIT
The Titans and 10-1, the Lions are 0-11. Surprisingly, that means Detroit has more to play for. Combine that with the fact that they’ve sold out their stadium for the first Thanksgiving day game in years, the whole LenDele White “I don’t care about my team” situation and I’m guessing that the 10+ line is going to be too much Tennessee
Still, I’m not exactly nervous having to take the Titans either. Tennessee lives off it’s ground game and Detroit is last in the league in stopping it. Plus they start Dante Culpepper, which at this point would be like starting a fat me.
Seahawks (+13) at COWBOYS
With Marion Barber, Tony Romo, T.O. and Jason Witten the Cowboys are capable of beating a team either by land or by air. Against a porous Seattle defense they should have their pick.
Cardinals (+3) at EAGLES
The Eagles, especially good at breaking our hearts, should come out Thanksgiving day, destroy Kurt Warner and the first place Arizona Cardinals and inspire at least a few days of “Maybe Andy Reid knew just what he was doing when he benched Donovan … I mean, he just torched Eric Green and Antonio Cromartie’s little cousin, he’s back baby!” stories.
